Introduction to Qigong (1.36 min)
Qigong doesn’t work without awareness and focus. And these are the basic requirements for mindfulness too. Awareness presents an opportunity for change in your body, mind and emotions. Opposed to mainstream mindfulness practices, here we do it involving your entire energy being: mind, body and emotions to reach beyond the physical with
- gentle exercises
- relaxed posture
- focused breathing and
- mindful intentions.
The result is flowing meditation – a unique form of relaxation.
Through the combination of these, you are cultivating your energy, working with your own Qi (Life force energy).
Your 15 minutes practise:
1 Intention setting ( 1.41 min)
This exercise is designed to set your intentions, combined with breathing and opening up your Lower & Middle Dan Tien.
2 Etheric Cleansing (3.26 min)
Illness occurs, when the energy flow is disrupted. In order to cleanse this part of your energy field, you are using gentle, sweeping movements along with your intention of cleansing it and sending the unwanted energies into the Earth.
3 Triple Warmer Balancer (Part of the 8 Brocades Exercise Routine) (2.19 min)
The Triple Warmer is one of the 12 Meridians running in your body/energy field, responsible to manage the fight or flight response.
4 Circulating the Yin and Yang (5.53 min)
It creates perfect balance on many different levels :
- smoothes the energies in your 4 main organs: heart, liver, spleen, kidneys (physical body), prevents you coming down with a cold for example
- balances your chakras (etheric layer)
- calms the emotions
- allows better
5 Distributing the Energy (1.25 min)
With this exercise, we allow the energies that you worked with to be distributed evenly.
6 Finishing the Practice (1.52 min)
As with a more dynamic exercise routine you need a calm down. This exercise allows you to do that energetically. It also allows you to get familiar with sensing your own energies.
